Tell us more about yourself. 🙂 What field were you in before IT School, and what was your role?

Before enrolling in the course organized by IT School in collaboration with EOS Foundation and Microsoft, I wasn’t employed since I was still a third-year university student. However, my specialization upon graduation will be in industrial logistics.

What motivated you to enroll in the DevOps course supported by Microsoft?

I’ve always been passionate about IT, but since I wasn’t particularly drawn to programming, I was more interested in Cloud technologies, especially DevOps. So, this course seemed perfect for me.

Did you have prior knowledge of the technologies covered in the course, or did you do research beforehand?

For the past few years, I’ve been self-learning the basics of this field, but I wanted to attend a professional course taught by experts.

What was your experience like during the course?

I attended each session with great interest and enthusiasm, eager to learn as much as possible.

This was thanks to the well-structured and up-to-date curriculum as well as the clear and friendly teaching style of my trainer.

Did you face any fears or challenges during the course? If so, how did you overcome them?

I didn’t experience any difficulties during the course, but I did feel nervous when presenting my final project.

In the end, those nerves proved to be unnecessary because everything went really well.

How were the career orientation sessions at IT School?

The career orientation sessions at IT School were extremely helpful.

Through them, I learned how to create a strong CV and how to present myself in a job interview to maximize my chances of being selected.

What is the biggest lesson you learned from your trainer?

My trainer not only earned my respect and admiration but also my trust in his expertise. He is an outstanding professional and an incredible mentor.

What new career perspectives did you gain after completing the course?

The course reinforced my passion for this field, confirming that I truly want to build a successful career in DevOps.

Did you apply to DevOps-related companies after completing the course?

Following IT School’s recommendation, I applied for a short-term DevOps Engineer internship at Wirtek.

After my technical interview, they told me I had performed exceptionally well and decided to skip the internship phase altogether, offering me a full-time position right away.

This proved that the training I received during the course was outstanding. I’m now preparing for my final interview with the manager, but I’m confident that everything will go smoothly.

What do you enjoy most about DevOps?

What I love most about DevOps is:

  • Automation and CI/CD pipelines
  • Managing resources in Azure

What advice would you give to those considering a career change to IT but unsure how to take the first step?

Don’t be afraid to try something new! Believe in yourself, learn, work hard, and you will achieve your goals—as long as you truly enjoy what you do. 🚀
